The 23rd Annual TMPAA Summit brought more than 1,500 attendees to Scottsdale for three days of deal-making, networking, education, charity, and entertainment. Keynote speaker Walter Isaacson spoke on his new biography, Elon Musk, while VJ Dowling provided a market update. Other sessions focused on important issues including recruiting new talent, embracing AI, reinsurance, and the State of Program Business.

Program business grew 17% to $79B in '22


Results of the 2023 State of Program Business study were released at the recent Summit revealing an industry producing $79 billion in premium. “With its upbeat results, program business continued to outpace the overall commercial insurance marketplace. Administrators and carriers polled expect this trend to continue and see a bright future for the program space,” said the study.

15 CPL Designations Awarded

The TMPAA recognized 15 individual members for attaining the Certified Programs Leader (CPL) Designation during the 23rd Annual Summit. Members recognized for achieving the CPL completed and passed 13 required Target University courses and met program and industry experience expectations set out by the Association.

3 Agencies Earn Best Practice Recertification

Clarion Associates, US Assure, and Venture Insurance Programs recieved the Association’s Best Practice Designation at the 23rd Annual Summit. These particular awards were recertifications, required every three years to maintain the integrity of the designation. Successful Best Practice agencies are recognized by program business professionals as "best in class" operations.
