THL Partners is a Boston-based private equity firm with a long history of investing the insurance technology and services industries.  We have been providing capital to businesses in the insurance sector for over twenty years, with historical investments aross risk-taking vehicles, claims service providers, distribution business and technology companies. Representative past and current THL investments include Sedgwick Claims, Prime Risk Partners, AmeriLife, Hexure, Agencyport, Endurance Holdings, AXIS, Ariel Holdings, and Endurance.  We are a sector-dedicated group of insurance investors looking for growing, market leading insurance services and technology companies that are in need of a partner to help scale their business.

How does your product or service specifically target/benefit Program Administrators:

We have spent a great deal of time in the program space over the past several years, undertaking significant research and development of deep industry knowledge in our pursuit of partnerships with MGA/MGUs, wholesale brokers, E&S underwriters, captive managers, and the various servicer providers to these entitites.  We understand the nuances of this market and are committed to finding investments in the space given its rapid growth and robust value proposition to all constituents.  As part of a partnership, the resources and capital that THL can provide can be used to fund internal initiatives to accelerate growth (e.g., launching new lines of busines, entering new geographies), drive an inorganic M&A strategy to help add scale or new capabilities, and provide liquidity to management and other shareholders.  At the same time, our ~25 person operating team can be leveraged by management teams to help project-manage new initiatives at their companies that they otherwise wouldn't have the time or resources to dedicate to.  These individuals on our team are all ex-operators or consultants and are "doers" who each specialize in a particular area across go-to-market, human capital, M&A/integration, technology, or infrastructure, and the time they dedicate to helping management teams comes at no cost.

THL brings decades of insurance investing experience to the table with meaningful industry connections and a sector-focused approach that enables us to be a valued added investing partner to our portfolio companies.  We bring operative resources to our portfolio companies through our Strategic Resource Group, a 25 person team of former operators and consultants, that provides resources, insights and leverage to our portfolio company management teams.
