Neptune Flood Names Duffy Chief Risk Officer

IJ - December 6, 2022 - Neptune Flood Insurance, based in St. Petersburg, Florida, has named Matthew Duffy chief risk officer, after he spent 18 months as the firm’s director of risk management and internal audit.

Duffy, a certified internal auditor, financial risk manager and anti-money laundering specialist, has helped Neptune develop its artificial intelligence engine, known as Triton, and has helped build the company’s risk apparatus for future growth, Neptune leadership said in a news release.

Before Neptune, Duffy worked at Bank OZK and C1 Bank at risk officer and vice president. He is graduate of Eckerd College and is a former professional soccer player in the United Kingdom.

Neptune is one of the largest digital-based flood insurance companies in the U.S., and is considered an alternative to the National Flood Insurance Program.
