She replaces Pam Rushing, who left the company earlier this year.

Ms. Seibold will lead The Hanover’s specialty general liability and specialty brokerage businesses. She most recently served as chief underwriting officer of specialty property and casualty.

Arthur J. Barrett was also promoted to president of programs, reporting to Ms. Seibold.

Mr. Barrett oversees The Hanover’s specialty property and casualty programs business in the newly created role. He was most recently vice president of underwriting for the Worcester, Massachusetts-based insurer’s programs business.\
