Company Description

Instec is the leading provider of policy administration solutions to program administrators and carriers.  Dozens of Target Markets members use our Quicksolver system to grow their business through world-class technology, efficient processing, second-to-none user experience and attractive value-based pricing.  Delivered via Microsoft's Azure in the cloud, the Quicksolver application caters to program writers by empowering them through self-service configuration capabilities that give users the ability to bring programs to market.

Description of Product or Services you would like to promote in the Association:

Quicksolver is our premier policy administration solution. It is used by the world's largest carriers, and start-up MGAs. With our cloud-based platform the program writers, no matter their size, can target, develop and implement programs that meet their unique insurance requirements. Users can blend decades of bureau content, along with proprietary rates, rules and forms, into a program that can easily be deployed at the pace you require.

How does your product or service specifically target/benefit Program Administrators:

Instec has served the program marketplace for decades. Today, we focus our efforts exclusively on this segment of the P&C industry. Our cloud-based model appeals to carrier and MGA alike because it empowers Underwriting and Operations to act on opportunities instead of relying on their IT partners for a solution they will have to build-out. The pre-loaded configuration tools can be used by business analysts and underwriters to tailor the product mix as needed. Finally, our business intelligence capabilities are second-to-none in terms of the depth and breadth of the policy data. In practical terms, users of Quicksolver are more data empowered than most of their actuarial counterparts.

What differentiates your product from others in the marketplace?

Instec provides our Quicksolver product through a software-as-a-service (SaaS) model. This provides two primary advantages to our customers. First, the pricing is value-based. There is a low entry point, and a measured use of the system (GWP). This allows us to havea business case which is attractive even when premium is low, and a predictable operational expense going forward. Second, our customers continue to make deals happen because they can deploy Quicksolver faster than any other solution. The SaaS model means there is literally no IT involvement, so the focus can be on the product mix, the partnerships, and booking premium.
