The Target Markets Program Administrators Association created TMPAA Charities as a vehicle to provide its members the opportunity to share their financial success with others who may need our assistance.

The operational concept for TMPAA Charities is to have our member’s select charitable organizations each year for support. The TMPAA Charities Board is responsible to select the organizations to support from the applications submitted by TMPAA members. Funding requests need to fall into two areas:

  1. Education
  2. Business Incubation

TMPAA Charities has been incorporated as a 501C3. All contributions will be tax deductible. All prospective beneficiaries will also need to be 501C3’s.

Here are a few Previous TMPAA Charities Awards:

Kiva is a unique organization that provides “micro loans” to entrepreneurs in the developing world. TMPAA Charities chose a number of businesses to support to assist some of the world’s poor make strides towards economic independence. In 2009 Kiva also included small US based businesses on their site for support. Several US loans were also made with TMPAA Charities funds. Returns on these micro loans will be reinvested in other businesses.

The Hermanus Waldorf School is located in Hermanus, South Africa. The majority of the children attending the school come from disadvantaged homes in this area. Many households consist of up to 8 people living in two rooms, and families of four living in single roomed “shacks” made of corrugated iron sheets. Some children are orphans. There are no play areas except the streets. No spaces for reading or learning.

The Hermanus Waldorf School offers pre-school and primary education to children of all races. Children from all walks of life are brought together in an atmosphere of encouragement and creativity.
